New Magazine: imbibe
There’s a new bi-monthly periodical that has just hit the stands this month. It’s called imbibe and its got a very ambitious objective: to cover drinks, all manner of drinks, as it’s own culinary category. We are talking cocktails, coffee, wine, beer, tea, even the Horchata is covered in this premier issue!
This first issue seems very interesting, although I admit at this point I’ve mostly scanned it. But looking at the list of “Departments”, columns which will be have a regular place in the magazine, and the one-off Features, there’s an interesting mix of content.
There are a couple travel features (Destination Oaxaca and Twelve Great Hotel Bars); an article on Trappist Brewed ales; information on organic wines and winemakers; as well as information on bitters, home bars, how to properly French Press coffee and a smattering of recipes, among other things.
All in all it looks pretty good.
If you are interested in purchasing your own copy their website says it’s currently available at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Tower Books, Books a Million, Whole Foods and Wild Oats stores. You can also find Imbibe in select independent grocery stores, wineries, and beer, wine and spirits shops.
Or, of course, you can order a subscription.
